Although there are many grand theft auto 4 reviews on the net, I still like to give my opinion on GTA4 on my user experience.
Grand Theft Auto 4 is a video game developed by Rockstar North. This video game is an action adventure game and is also known as GTA IV. In total, the grand theft auto games have 4 series and this is the fourth one.
The one which came before this was the GTA San Andreas. The game GTA IV was released in April of 2008 with versions of Xbox and PlayStation 3. This release date is for the release of the game in America and Europe. However, the game was also released in Japan on the 13th of October, 2008. The game was later released in the Windows version and this release date is second of December 2008.
Moving on to the game, the Grand Theft Auto 4 is a game which is set in this fictitious Liberty city. In comparison to the previous games, the version of the city available in this game is different and completely redesigned. It is also considerable more in depth and the graphics have been upgraded to almost realism with the new Xbox 360 and PS3 graphics engine.
The city draws its inspiration from the real life New York and the various things that go on in the city. The protagonist of the game, Niko Bellic is a war veteran. His country is unspecified; we only know that he is from some country in Eastern Europe.
This man comes to America in the quest for the American Dream. However, he gets caught up in seedy dealings and affairs with the underworld in the city. He gets pulled into a net of crimes and gangs that he is unable to come out of. There is corruption, murder, and every other vice that you can think of.
The good part of the game is that you can undergo a wide variety number of experiences while playing this game. You can be a first person shooter, you can be a third person shooter, and you can ride your car and what not.
You can for example do car chases with the police, visit the bar and hook up some girls and beat the crap out of someone.
Those who have played a few of the versions of Grand Theft Auto will know exactly what I am taking about. In fact, the gaming experience that any player of Grand Theft Auto 4 will get is the “open-world” gameplay which allows the players an immense amount of hold over the playing experience.
The game also comes with an online multiple player mode. This mode has about fifteen game types and you can enjoy the experience with your friends over the globe.
The Grand Theft Auto 4 was a major critical success. It broke all records of the gaming industry ever made; and why not? When the sales are more than four million on the first day of release then anybody can guess how big a commercial success the game is.
In a total, the game sold over a total of five hundred million dollars in the first week and about six million copies were sold world wide. According to the consensus till sixteenth of August, the game had sold over ten million copies.
The Grand Theft Auto 4 is the highest rated game and this can be proven only when you look into the ranking charts of the MobyGames and Gamespot.
